Why Buy Tupperware?

published on January 15th, 2008 . by Jennifer

logoOne day while I was working at the Tupperware kiosk at the mall, I overheard someone say, “Tupperware? Who has Tupperware?! It’s too expensive–that’s insane!”

Yes. Tupperware is more expensive than the containers you can buy at the grocery store, but what do you get for your money? Tupperware lasts a very, very long time. Can you imagine Rubbermaid or Gladware containers lasting 50 years or more? Probably not. Tupperware does. Just look in your grandma’s cupboard. When you consider how many times you’d have to replace that other product during that time, the economical choice is clear.

Plus, most Tupperware carries a Limited Lifetime Warranty so that in the unlikely event that it chips, cracks, breaks, or peels under normal, non-commercial use, it can either be replaced or you can get credit toward the purchase of new Tupperware. No receipt or proof-of-purchase is required for this warranty.

Keep Produce Fresh Longer in Tupperware FridgeSmarts

published on January 14th, 2008 . by Jennifer

FridgesmartsWhen I first got my Tupperware Business Kit last spring, there were a couple of products in it that I was initially skeptical of. One of those was my FridgeSmart produce container. It claimed to extend the life of fruits and vegetables. I figured it was a sales gimmick….until I tried it out for myself on some strawberries.

Normally, strawberries will only last a few days in my refrigerator. Whatever berries remain uneaten turn to soggy, moldy mush by about day 4. Not this time, though! After a full week in the fridge in this container, the strawberries were still firm and juicy.

So what’s the magic here? There are two key features on the FridgeSmart containers that help keep produce fresh longer. First of all, those little white buttons on the front are used to open and close the vents, which controls the amount of airflow to your food. Different fruits and vegetables require different amounts of air for optimal storage. A storage chart is printed on the side of the container (all sizes except the small), which will tell you how much air various types of produce need. The other snazzy feature of the FridgeSmart is the ridged base, which elevates your produce out of any moisture that might condense and collect on the bottom of the container. This keeps it crisper and fresher.

I am a total FridgeSmart convert. This is one of my very favorite Tupperware product lines. They are a fantastic value. And mine actually save me money since I’m not tossing out rotten vegetables anymore!

A note about product availability

published on January 7th, 2008 . by Jennifer

Tupperware is doing an AMAZING job getting manufacturing and product distribution back to normal after the devastating warehouse fire last month. It is pretty much business as usual at this point, which I’m sure was a staggering feat.

That said, there are a handful of products which are currently unavailable for purchase. Those products are:

  • Simple Indulgence ™ Key Lime Blend
  • Simple Indulgence ™ ChocoJava ™ Blend
  • FlatOut!™ 8-Cup Container
  • Egg Tray Inserts
  • Prep Essentials™ Cold Cut Keeper Jr
  • Sheerly Elegant® Olive Oil Bottle
  • Chef Series™ All Purpose Baking Pan
  • Julienne Peeler (Q)
  • Kitchen Duos
  • Wheel Power™ Cutter (Q)
  • Tinker Bell ThirstBreak™ Tumbler with Carrying Strap (Q)
  • Ariel Lunch Set
  • Shape-O® Maracas
  • Spice Carousel
  • Cookie Cutter Set (spring)
  • TupperWave® Stack Cooker Set
  • E3 Charm

If you are looking for any of the above products, please let me know. I have a couple of them in my own inventory and I have a network of other Tupperware consultants who may have those items as well.

There are a number of products which are currently on backorder. Orders for those items can still be placed and most backorders are expected to clear by the end of January. If you need more detailed backorder information, please let me know!

  1. They fit together to make very efficient use of your pantry space.
